League of Legends – [Champion] Veigar AP Guide

A hero guide for League of Legends for Veigar. In this guide, he will be played as an AP champion.

The purpose of this guide is to learn how to build Veigar as an AP character who can virtually 1v1 any other AP in most situations. This is NOT a DPS guide as there are other guides for that, and this guide is not a comparison between AP and DPS. It is simply to put out the option out there that Veigar can be played as an AP champion.

Basics

Health: 355 (+82 per level)

Mana: 250 (+55 per level)

Damage: 46.5 (+2.63 per level)

Attack Speed: 0.63 (+2.13% per level)

Range: 525

Armor: 10.5 (+3.5 per level)

Magic Resistance: 30 (+0 per level)

Health Regeneration: 4.5 (+0.55 per level)

Mana Regeneration: 4.4 (+0.4 per level)

Movement Speed: 315

Abilities

Equilibrium

Passive: Equilibrium – (Innate) Veigar’s mana regeneration is increased by 0.75% for each 1% of mana he is missing.

This passive ability gives Veigar a unnoticed, yet helpful boost in mana regeneration, posing as a chalice of harmony.

Baleful Strike

Ability Q: Baleful Strike – Deals magic damage and gives ability power for last hitting.

Cooldown: 8/7/6/5/4 seconds

Cost: 75 Mana

Range: 650

Magic Damage: 80/125/170/215/260 (+0.6 per AP)

This spell is required for veigar as it gives him one ability power every time that he gets a last hit on a minion, and it gives Veigar 1/2/3/4/5 AP everytime he kills another champion, thus this skill provides Veigar to receive insane amounts of AP (1000+) that is uncommon with other champions.

Dark Matter

Ability W: Dark Matter - A meteor falls at the designated location after 1.2 seconds and deals magic damage.

Cooldown: 10 Seconds

Cost: 100/110/120/130/140 Mana

Range: 900

Magic Damage: 120/170/220/270/320 (+1 per AP)

This skill is mostly used in conjunction with Veigar’s stun to deal massive burst damage as it scales with his AP much greater than Baleful Strike. It also is useful for farming minions because one strike after putting a few levels into it can wipe out the ranged minions, and later even the melee minions.

Event Horizon

Ability Toggle E: Event Horizon - Creates a circle for three seconds and stuns enemies who walk into the edges of the circle.

Range: 650

Cost: 80/95/110/125/140 Mana

Cooldown: 20/19/18/17/16

Stun Duration: 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 Seconds
