Pokemon Colosseum Fanfic
Oldoldold!!
“Cynder! Flame Wheel!” I commanded my Typhlosion Cynder. “And Surf use, well Surf!” I also commanded Surf my Quagsire. I was too close to losing this battle. The only reason Cynder was alive was because I revived him.
Cynder ran at the Sandslash and set it to flames. Surf jumped up and sent a roaring wave at the Sandslash and its partner Graveler. But, Sandslash dug underground quickly to avoid the attack, it came flying out underneath Cynder, he flew back into Surf.
“Cynder return!” I called Cynder back to her ball and threw the next one. “Go Quipples!”
A stream of light revealed my Qwilfish. He swung his tail back and forth in the air anc gave me a cheeky smile. “Quipples use Poison Sting!” Barbs of Poison flew at the Sandslash leaving it poisoned and it fell in defeat in front of Surf, who whacked it with her tail.
“Consider yourself defeated.” I smiled and recalled my Quagsire and Qwilfish.
I was rather used to these Cipher people. They all thought they were so cool. Though they really abused the ground types at the moment. Which gave Surf the upper hand, and Cynder the lower hand.
“Gah! I can’t beleif I lost to you again!! I really thought I had you this time. Just you wait! That Typhlosion of yours won’t stand a chance against Miror B’s Ludicolo. Nor will that Quagsire or Qwilfish.” the Cipher person growled. She turned around and ran as fast as she could. I watched as she vanished from my sight.
“Ha! Lets get out of here.” I laughed and walked back into Pyrite Town.
I always felt nervous in Pyrite Town, there were alot of people here who would jump at the opportunity to attack someone. Especially a girl like me. I was short for my age and people around these parts know those are the most entertaining ones to attack. I still have bad memories of being attacked by some Rider.
I was walking through town when I noticed from the corner of my eye a Rider looking my way. I ignored him and pretended like I never looked his way. I kept walking. He got up off an old barrel he was sitting on and walked my way. “What’s a little thing like you doing out here?” he asked when he reached me.
“Leaving. Now leave me alone.” I growled.
But he walked in front of me and blocked my path. “This place has a bad reputation ya know. You came here, knowing that this is where all of the roughnecks gather did you?” he taunted.
“Yes, I know that.” I responded. “Now get out of my way Egg Head!” I tried to pass him but he blocked me yet again. “You wanna move!? Move, it means to change location; travel, or proceed” I explained.
He laughed. “What are you a Dictionary? Well, its not gonna be that simple you know. And Egg Head, real mature.”
I scoffed and pushed him aside. “Well if maturity goes here I still have you beat Egg Head!”
“Passing through the Duel Square puts you in a posistion to be attacked.” he pointed out. “And may I say you’ve passed through it several times since I first saw you here. And you only battled one. And that was Pokemon Battle. That’s generally not how we handle things around here.”
“May I please point out the Duel Square isn’t even a square. Its a circle.” I growled and closed my eyes.
He didn’t respond at first. “Oh, so the most important thing to you is accuracy is it. Then come and tell me. How often have you had your face knocked out?” I turned around to make a come back and he jumped at me. He slammed me to the ground, holding down my arms so I couldn’t run. “None? Well, how about we change that.” I could only tremble in fear, without Pokemon I was defenseless. “Your nothing without your Pokemon hmm?”
I finally reacted. I suddenly, and without warning bit his arm. He drew back his arm, a normal reaction. I knocked his other hand of my arm, unfortunaly causing him to lose his balance and collapse down on me. I tried to push him off me, but he was much too heavy.
“So, you still think you have any chance do you?” he asked, as he stood up and pulled me off the ground, holding my arms behind my back as I struggled to break free. He pushed me to the ground.
“Stop!!” I screamed in fear. I got up as to run.
“Coming through!” he announced and went at me. Before I had time to block my face I was hit in the face. A solid punch, which shockingly didn’t leave me with a black eye. Luckily he misaimed and hit my cheek. Though leaving my face as red as red gets, I had a free moment.
I ran. “Someone help!!” I screamed in terror as I ran through the town at top speed. He was right behind me and catching up quickly. It was then I spotted Johnson right up ahead. He was the law around these parts. He was just finishing talking to the Cheif, Sherles, who was already walking back into the Police Station. I immidiatly ran for Johnson. I ran behind him and gripped him in terror.
He looked down at me. “What’s wrong Azul?” he asked. I pointed forward at the Rider in fear. The Rider screached to a stop when he saw me hiding behind Johnson. “And what are you doing?”
“Just going for a walk.” the Rider lied.
But no one was that stupid. Johnson quickly questioned him. “Oh you are, are you? Because by the way Azul here is acting, it would look more like you were after her. Plus, her face is as red as red gets.”
“So? People get red all the time. And she could be scared of anything.” the Rider continued with his little lie speil.
I went to protest, although I didn’t let my grip weaken at all. But before I could, I notice the door to the Police Station slide open and Sherles walked back out. “I overheard a ruckus out here. What seems to be going on?” He looked at Johnson then down at me still gripping him in fear.
“Best ask her. She knows the most I assume.” Johnson said.
So Sherles looked at me. “What seems to be of an issue here.” he asked.
I slightly loosened my grip as I answered him. “I was just trying to leave town when this Rider guy came up to me and started bothering me. I tried to ignore him but he just came at me. Saying that I can’t get out without a fight. If it was Pokemon, like how Cipher play, I would’ve been fine, but he physically attacked me. I was lucky to break free and run for help.”
“I see.” Sherles mumbled to himself. “Seems the evidence heads straight towards her story. Take him in Johnson.”
“Can do sir!” Johnson agreed and pulled the Rider away into the station.
That was terrifying. I knew that Rider wasn’t out here, and that calmed me. But, I was still a bit afraid that another person might attack me just the same way. I was walking past the Hotel when I heard a voice call for me. I looked nervously in the direction.
It was a Chaser. He had been hanging out in front of that hotel for a long time. He was a rather calm fellow. His Pokemon were small in the first place. Taillow, Slakoth, and Sentret were nothing to fear, they were actually quite friendly. He had a calm reputation. Never attacking anyone and only battling if someone wants to. I felt releived. Although I did know he had a reputation of dissapearing into the mysterious building, which was locked to all but those who won the Colosseum Battle. He came running up to me.
“Huh? What is it?” I asked.
“I forgot, I wanted to thank you for helping me train my Pokemon. Taillow, Sentret, and Slakoth got alot of experience out of battling your Typhlosion and Quagsire.” he smiled.
“Its nothing. I don’t mind Pokemon Battles. Gotta battle them all.” I laughed.
He looked behind an old gear and dashed over, tugging out and old item. “Here, consider this T.M my gift. I got it from the person who beat me in the Colosseum Battle. He said he didn’t need this T.M. Well, I don’t need it either.” he said as he tossed it to me.
I caught it and tossed it into my bag. “Thanks.”
“Oh one more thing.” he said.
“What?” I asked.
“Miror B is behind you!!!” He screamed trying to sound shocked. I blinked. “How could you not fall for that!? You can’t be tricked like that can you?” he laughed. “Well, maybe we can battle some time. See ya.”
I walked away, when I got a bad feeling, that building. That old warehouse, I knew it had to be hiding something. So I turned around and ran towards the Colosseum, I knew anyone who won a Colloseum Challenge was aloud into the building to get thier prize of a Shadow Pokemon. I didn’t require the Pokemon, but I did require to kick Cipher’s ass.
And true it was. I beat the Challenge no problem. I got my 5,000 money prize and a Toxic T.M. But, when I went to cross the bridge back into town, it was being blocked by a Cipher person. He asked if I was the winner of the Challenge and that I did look tough indeed. He took me into the building for the prize. When the other Cipher person behind the desk recognized me. She even recalled my name. I kicked thier butts and they fled.
The whole place was swarming with people Cipher had hired. I beat them all. I rescued Silva. And I went into Miror B’s secret cave. I made it all the way to the bottom. I had a hard time beating Miror B, but I managed. I saved Duking’s Plusle, who joined my team. But, Miror B really scared me. I dunno why. Like any other Cipher person, he vowed his fake revenge. I dunno, something about him terrified me. But, he was gone.
I was walking back through town when I noticed the same Chaser from earlier glancing at me calmly. “Hey!” I waved. He waved back. I walked up to him.
He immidiatly started the talking, “Heard you kicked Miror B’s ass in battle. I knew you were strong, but oh my. You might even be able to control a legendary or two. That’s not easy. My friend, he’s strong too, but he could never beat Miror B. I must say, I’m impressed.”
“Why thank you.” I bowed. “I hate Miror B though.”
He smiled. “Oh by the way.” he began. “Miror B is behind you!!!” He yelled in his best pretend fear.
Unfortunatly, due to my new earned fear or Miror B that scared me to death. “HOLY CRAP SAVE ME!!!” I screamed and jumped into his arms immidiatly. He only laughed at my fear. “That was a trick wasn’t it?”
“Yeah.” he smiled. “But, what about last time? You weren’t scared at all.”
“Well, last time I never knew Miror B. I had only heard of him. Never actually met him. So of course I’m not gonna fear someone I’ve never met. But, now, yeah, you got me. And anyone probably could get me.” I explained.
He paused. “Ok then. Now could you get out of my arms, people are gonna start staring.” he said.
I laughed. “They already are.”
“Oh shit!!” he panicked and immidiatly dropped me on the ground, I landed with a thud. “Don’t worry. Its not what it looks. I was just scaring her by telling her Miror B was behind her, and she over reacted. Its nothing wierd.” Everyone ahh’d and looked away.
I watched as another Chaser came up and started whispering with the first one, after they finished the first one, for the first time in ever, waved my farewell and walked away from his spot in front of the hotel. Towards the Colosseum.
Ever since the second Chaser showed up he kinda followed me everywhere. Constantly scaring me by telling me Miror B was behind me when he wasn’t. I jumped in his arms several times. The I simply jumped and got panicky. Not to long after that I would simply ask where and glance around. Now, I didn’t even react.
“Miror B!!” he tried to scare me.
“Yeah, I’m not falling for that one again. You had your fun.” I said narrowing my eyes at him.
“I’ll be right back.” he said without warning, as if I would miss him.
“Don’t hurry!!” I called.
I watched him run down Pyrite Town as fast as he could. I guess that’s where they get the name Chaser from. He’s be good at a game of Chase. I waited, unaware of what he was up to. I walked aimlessly, not sure of what to do next. I wanted to challenge someone to a battle, but the only person I wanted to challenge had still not returned to his spot. I seriously considered Cail. His Pokemon were a real challenge. But, he was intense at times.
————————–Meanwhile—————————
The Chaser ran into the old warehouse. Despite rumors of it being abandoned, a couple of select people, including Miror B, still populated it, until they thought of what to do next. With Typhlosion and Quagsire kicking butt after butt, they couldn’t do much. The Chaser glanced down into town, to see Azul at the entrance to town, he could tell because he could see a big blaze and I tidal wave, which meant Typhlosion and Quagsire were battling. He figured she must’ve challenged Cail. He ran into the cave when one of the few Cipher people still here jumped down on him. “Why are you here?” she asked.
“Because, I wanna offer Miror B a little something.” the Chaser began. “I know he’s still here. I worked for him. I wanna set up a certain trainer for him to kidnap.”
She Cipher girl didn’t respond at first. “It depends, who’s the person?” she finally asked, ready to kick him out if he said anything stupid.
“Azul. The girl with the Quagsire, Qwilish, and Typhlosion. The one that keeps stealing all the Shadow Pokemon.” he responded.
The Cipher girl jumped. “Really!? You could do that!? That would be wonderful! I’m certain Miror B would like that. Let me go tell him. And you, your back on board with our opperation. Wait here.” she commanded him and ran downstairs.
When she walked down there, she was greeted by a strange scene. Miror B was dancing on top of an old pile of bricks. Music was playing exceedingly loud and his Ludicolo were dancing hyperly as well. It was a shock how no one could hear the music from upstairs. He didn’t notice her come in and him and his Pokemon continued dancing. “Miror B?” she called to his attention. “Uh, excuse me, Miror B? Miror B!?” he didn’t hear her. So she walked over to his radio and pushed the off button. It took him and the Pokemon a few seconds to come to thier senses.
“Who turned off my music!?” Miror B demanded.
“Me sir.” the Cipher girl answered calmly. “There’s a Chaser outside who would like to have a moment of your time. He said he can set up a way for you to kidnap Azul.”
“Oh he does, does he?” send him in.
“Come on down!” she called as she walked upstairs.
The Chaser walked down the stairs to Miror B. “So, what’s the plan then?” he asked.
———————Outside——————
“And this will work?” Miror B asked as he hid from anyone’s view who could posiibly have a reason to hate him.
“Yes, I’m sure.” the Chaser responded. “I’ve pulled this trick on her so many time, she won’t fall for it anymore. So if I try to warn her your there when you really are, she won’t beleive me anymore. Just trust me, all you gotta do is walk up behind her and grab her when I cue you. Simple no?”
“Fine, lets get this party started.” Miror B sang.
“No music!” the Chaser yelled.
—————–Meanwhile yet again—————–
“Consider this Battle over.” I smiled.
Cail growled. “Why do I even try anymore. Your good though, you got allota skill if you can beat me.”
“Oh yes, it takes lots of Skill to beat you.” I said sarcastically. Suddenly I heard the Chaser’s voice calling to me. He ran up to me and stopped. “So are you done? I liked your friend better, why isn’t he in front of the hotel anymore?”
Suddenly he looked startled. Or pretend startled I should say. “Never mind that! Miror B is behind you!!” he cried.
“Yeah, I’m not falling for that one, I already told you.” I said.
“No!! I’m serious! Watch out!” he continued.
Suddenly something wrapped its arm around my stomach and pulled my back. As I was pulled back, before I could scream, my mouth was covered, muffling my scream. I walk pulled all the way into a dark corner, where no on in town could see me and my kidnapper. I felt my arms being bound together behind my back as I was shoved into the wall of a building. I turned around to see it really was Miror B.
“Hey, he tried to warn you.” Miror B smiled. “But you wouldn’t listen. Kinda like the Boy Who Cried Mightyena. All went according to plan.”
“What pla-!” I was cut off before I could finish as he tied a cloth around my mouth, muffling out all my words.
“Now, now Azul, don’t waste your breath.” Miror B taunted. “Its simple, you were set up. That Chaser back there works for me, in case he didn’t inform you. He set up this whole thing for me. And it work spendidily too might I add. You never saw it coming. Finally I can move to my new hideout.”
“Miror B? Why are you hiding in an alley behind a building?” a voice asked curously.
Miror B turned around to see Trudley and Folly standing in the entrace to the alley. “We heard you talking to something in here so we came to see what in the world you were up to.” Folly explained.
“We brought the truck to take you to the new hideout.” Trudley continued. “Middle of nowhere, awaiting your arrival.”
Miror B responded calmly. “Yes, I just had to get something, and now were going.” Miror B pushed me ahead of him. With that said, Miror B and his cronies snuck through the shadows of Pyrite Town until they reached where the truck was parked. Miror B pushed me into the back of the truck, the bar had been raised, probably to prevent cargo from falling out. Just before they made thier getaway, the familiar voice of Officer Johnson rang in.
“Miror B!” Johnson yelled. “What do you think your doing!?”
Miror B, who was the only one still not in the truck, turned around and faced Johnson. “I was doing nothing or any sort.” Miror B began, not letting Johnson get a word in. “I’d love to stay, but we got some Cargo to carry.” He jumped in the truck, between Trudley and Folly. “Hit it!”
The truck blazed off just as two people were running up. Seeing Miror B gave them reason to run. It was Titan and his partner Jamie. They were Cipher’s second biggest enemies, next to me. They were too late.
“What happened!?” Jamie asked in fear.
“They got away with Azul.” Johnson said, watching the dot that was the truck fade over the horizon.
“They go Azul!?” Jamie cried in fear. “Titan we gotta do something!!”
“We will.” Titan said calmly. “Umbreon and Espeon never let Cipher get away. Right boys?” The two Pokemon responded in unison. “Sniff down the truck. And quickly.” The Pokemon caught scent of the truck and sniffed it out.
————-At an Abandoned Building, now Miror B’s hideout————–
I struggled with all my might, but try as I might, I couldn’t escape. Miror B had me tied to a chair and there was no way I was getting out on my own. The whole building was on its last leg. Hallways were blocked by rubbish and created by holes in the wall. My Pokeball were sitting on an old table, far far from me, so even if I did get free, I couldn’t reach them.
“Wasn’t it brilliant to make this place our new hideout. Its an old crumbled building. No one will ever came looking here.” Miror B smiled as he Ludicolo danced around him.
“Much so.” Folly agreed.
“And, with the main threat in our hands, were unstoppable.” Trudley added.
Suddenly a Cipher girl, the same one from earlier cam running in. “We got a problem. That brat Titan and his little girlfriend Jamie are here. The Pokemon sniffed out the trail from your truck. They’re on thier way as we speak.” she announded in a panicked tone.
“What!?” Miror B yelled in astonishment. “And you didn’t stop them!?”
“That Umbreon and Espeon is powerful!” she argued in her defence. “And all I have is a Duskull and a Sanshrew. You try winning any battles with that pair! Its impossible!”
Suddenly the wall was knocked by a Psychic blast and in walked an Espeon and Umbreon, trainer Titan and his partner Jamie right behind him.
“Idiots!!” Miror B yelled. “Ludicolo get them!” Miror B yelled to his Pokemon. The 4 Ludicolo ran from Umbreon and Espeon. But, they were no match. Bite, Confusion, Return, Secret Power. Those Ludicolo were down in seconds. “Look what you all did!? Escape everyone!!” Miror B yelled and ran. ALong with Trudley, Folly, and the Cipher girl.
Titan patted Umbreon and Espeon on the head as Jamie came over to release me. “Are you ok?” Jamie asked.
“Yeah, it takes more then that to get me down.” I responded. “But I was set up for it. Stupid Chaser!! I can’t beleive that random trainers are working for Miror B now. Its sickening.”
Jamie nodded. “I agree. But come on, I don’t like this building. I wanna get out as fast as possible.” She called to Titan after she finished talking to me. “Are Umbreon and Espeon ok?”
“Yeah.” Titan agreed.
“Oh wait! My Pokemon!” I cried and ran to the table, picking up my babies. “Now let’s go.” I said. We all were on our way out. A few lingering Cipher Peons attacked us. But nothing any of us couldn’t stand up to. We were out of thier in minutes flat. I was glad to leave the building behind. I had to be more careful of random trainers now. You never know which ones could be holding a secret. Which ones could set you up for your very demise.
