Ragnarok Bot Fishing
Hate bots? Let’s have fun with them.
Ragnarok is a fun and addictive game. It came out in 2001 and is still one of the top MMORPGS to date. There are several official and private servers hosted all around the world. Each of them have their own different rates which appeal to different audiences. One thing, though, will not disappear from the world of Midgard and that is the presence of bots. Even worse than normal bots are ks(kill steal bots). The owners of these pretty much ruin the game in the sense that they get to level up and get rich with no effort at all except maybe configuring the bot. Once all is up and running though, they’re home free. While there is no way we can stop our fellow players from doing this, most servers are strictly being screened for bot activity.
In other servers, this is not the case. There are actually companies who allow the bots for fear of losing customers. We cannot do anything about negligent staff who do not do their job. No matter how much we clamor, all they have their eyes on is the profit.
At any rate, all we can do is slow down these botters or otherwise piss them off repeatedly. I know I have already received several abusive pmails from owners of these bots who came to realize what has happened. So what exactly did I do to them? Here are 2 of my favorites:
1. Drop an item in a town with many vending shops.
Why? Some bot vendors will actually pick them up. See this screenshot.
2. My favorite – Place warp portals beside an enemy. Immobile enemies are the best but it can also be done with mobile ones. Just be quick enough. Again, see this screenshot.
What’s worse than being warped away from your spot? Warp them to a place they can’t easily get back from. Like this: /gg
