Stealing Creation Mini-game Guide

Helpful Tutorial for the New Stealing Creation Mini-game.

Sacred clay, the stuff of creation itself. Well it’s this stuff you must fight for in the newest mini-game, Stealing Creation. You do battle with another team using the clay to sculpt weapons, armor, food, potions, and anything else to win the day. But the clay itself is very important, the more you collect and bring to the base, the better the score, and the higher chance of you winning. Here is a guide to help you in your quest for the clay of life.

General Gameplay

The idea is to collect the clay and to either bring it back to base or to craft it into your own uses or for the teams. Either get you points in the end, but it’s what is in the base in the end that helps your team’s score. When you bring things back to the base, you can either deposit them singly (if you want to keep some things) or you can click on the big table in the middle to deposit everything in your inventory except for your highest class tools. When you do it distributes all of your items to the appropriate tables for use by the other members. The table won’t take any items that are equipped on you, so you don’t worry about disarming yourself.

The method of collecting the clay is to find the skill points (or fragments if you can’t collect from them) and try to collect clay from them. If you make a tool for that point you will have a better chance of collecting the clay, and the higher the Class the better chance as well. Some skill points are (and tool and skill required):

* Fragments- None/None

* Rock – Pick/Mining

* Tree – Hatchet/Woodcutting

* Swarm- Butterfly Net/Hunter

* Pool – Harpoon/Fishing

With each class you find, you will need the required level to extract the clay from it. Here are the classes and their level required:

* Class 1 – No level

* Class 2 – Level 20

* Class 3 – Level 40

* Class 4 – Level 60

* Class 5 – Level 80

After 20 minutes the game will end and the team with the most points will be declared the victor and gain an additional 10% to their individual scores (which is the points you will use for the prizes).

What To Do

There are different things to do in Stealing Creation. You can collect clay and craft for the team, just collect clay, or collect, craft, and go into combat to harass the opponent. Here are some tips for either path.

Collecting

Collecting is an easy way to help and get points at the same time. Best way to start is to collect 4 Fragments and make each tool. Then when you find a Class that you can extract out of, once you get the clay from the new class, upgrade that tool and collect 3 more to upgrade your other tools. If you’re just crafting armor and other things for the team you can just use the table to give everything but your highest class tools. Also the higher the class you get clay from, the more points you will receive, and the higher class clay you process gets even more points. Continue this and you will have collected well enough to supply your team to victory.

Combat

Combat is another way to get points for your team: either by hurting your opponents or taking their equipment to store back at base. Clay in the base is beneficial in any form (meaning processed clay counts as well). Combat can be very vicious though, the equipment is much different than in the normal Runescape world. It’s also greatly affected by what Class you wear, since the higher the Class the better the armor will be. Same goes for the weapons, higher Class gives higher bonuses. Some things to know though from my glances at the Knowledge Base:

* Melee armor gives -30 to your Magic Attack (for any piece), so it’s not suggested to try to Mage in that armor because of the severe deficiencies. Melee armor and weapons require the appropriate Attack level to wield.

* Magic armor only protects from Magic and Summoning, leaving Melee and Ranged with no defense at all. So be prepared if you see any meleers or rangers, they will hit as if you were wearing nothing. Magic armor and staff requires the appropriate Magic level to wield.

* Ranged armor gives bonuses to each category (except Magic is very weak, the body only provides magic defense), but the bonuses aren’t as strong as the armor of that category. Try to mix it to your advantage if you want. Ranged armor and bow/arrows require the appropriate level in Ranged to wield.

Some Suggested Strategies

Here’s some tips that might help your Stealing experience (for our readers, I’m very welcome to hear your tips as well, I can add them to this if they work well!):

* If you want to make sure your enemy can’t access your resources, build Barriers to prevent them access. Also one barrier repairs it one level when it’s damaged.

* Beware of Ancienters! With the rampant creation of runes they have plenty of resources to cast their powerful magicks with. One way to deal with magers is to steal their runes, once you grab one stack, they’re helpless.

* Fight like Clan Wars: piling helps especially on tougher opponents. Don’t be afraid to completely flop someone with a large group.

* A personal favorite of mine as of equipment: full Magic robes with a staff and bow and arrows. The staff gives a bigger Magic attack boost and the arrows give an option to prayer-protectors.

* For magers, the staff has the auto-cast to any book you’re assigned to, so even Ancient or Lunar can be auto-casted from this staff, take advantage of this.

* For people that are looking for points only, the best method is to get clay from the highest class and process it (if you can) and bring it back to base. You will get 3 kinds of points that way: from getting it, processing it, and supplying the base.

The Rewards

The rewards from this intense mini-game is the morphic armor in the design of Class 5 armor and two types of tools. The armor has the ability to change forms from Melee, Ranged, Mage and back again, but only has a limit of 10 transformations. Once these run out, whichever form it is in it will remain that way until you refill the transformations by paying full price of the points to recharge it. The armor has stats similar to Runescape armor: Melee is same as rune, Ranged is the same as Green D’Hide, and Mage is the same as Mystic. The tools have the ability to transform into any kind of common tool used in Runescape, from the hammer to the needle. But these also have only 10 transformations and when these run out, they will revert to the seed form. The other tool is a volatile version, a version that you can’t control what tool it will be, but it will (supposedly) give you more XP by using it.

I hope you find this guide helpful to “stealing” your opponent’s “creations” and winning you the game.
