The Game That Has Taken The World by Storm

The most straightforward way to describe Terraria is to say that it is like a 2D version of Minecraft with side-scrolling. In Terraria one wanders through a 2D world, mining materials and crafting things out of them. Things like houses, weapons, and vehicles which you use to explore further  and get better materials.

Anwering the question, “Why is Terraria so popular or What is Terraria?” is fairly simple if one recognizes that most humans are collectors/hoarders which relates to our innate survivalist skills. When chaos reigns, those without shelter,food,water, and weapons will not not survive. Building a safe home to protect you and your family is certainly a basic need and Terraria appeals to that need. Crafting useful resources from useless materials,combined with the element of adventure and exploration, is uplifting and rewarding.
