The Legend of Zelda: Evolution in the Series

There is a fair amount of evolution in Zelda such as the whole Magic Evolution. Then there is the the evolution of Hyrule and its people. Finally there is the evolution of Technology.

The First Evolution: Magic

The evolution of magic in the series Using the Split Time-line seems to grow and change more and more.With the beginning with shooting swords and minor spells that were relatively simple/weak to the power of Din’s Fire and Naryu’s Love and Faore’s wind. Then comes the Power of the Masks mysterious since they seemingly evolve from a “Happy Mask” to Magical Mask theoretically the Mask salesman through his journey must of acquired a source of magic and integrated it with his masks or learned since he had the song of healing which helps with the curse.

Then come the arrows the arrows powers and forms evolve the fire arrow in Oot is emanating a flame in a starburst/burst pattern and in Wind Waker it becomes slightly spherical and spiral. The Ice arrow spirals and in the Wind Waker it becomes a super ice cube at the end of the arrow giving off extreme cold. Then finally comes the light arrow it goes from light coming from a normal arrow to a golden holy-like arrow that totally becomes light.

The Evolution of Technology

The Evolution of tecnology in Zelda is amazingly rapid yet comes up quite short in some areas. The main example is the rapid evolution of from a torch to a lamp in Oot to Wind Waker/Twilight Princess. Then comes the evolution of sails to almost immediate smoke engine unless Link stayed young for a 3 years or more since it would take that long to create and distribute the steam engine.

Then comes the quite interesting one the whole sword attribute they should of had much more advanced weapons in twilight princess such as a Halberd or axe to equip as your main weapon though nothing as such and the only point you get a crossbow is during the game with the wii zapper. It implies the fact that Hyrulian engineers have either amazingly short attention spans and or that they have a very narrow focus of things.

The Evolution of Creatures

The Most Interesting and decidedly longer basically the features of the current Hyrulians are extremely different from the others in the past. The most obvious is the height of the short Hyrulians in the Wind Waker. Then there is the more creamy skinned Hyrulians in Twilight Princess and the slightlytanned inahabitants of Wind Waker.

Then there is the evolution of the Moblin from a hulking beast to a short minion easily dispatched and weakly armed with a club. The theory would suggest shortened either due to repeated smashings or evolving for speed.

Then comes the evolution of Fairies they seem to change quite quickly from orbs of light to little humans with wings then more bright orbs of light. The Great Fairies evolve as well as the Queen Fairy. The fairies evolve from Human-like fairies with long hair to six armed and pointy-headed then to Human goddesses with amazing speed and the last has the disposition of turning into light.
