The Pikmin of Pikmin 3
Some pikmin that might be in Pikmin 3.
I think there might be:
A green pikmin: The unique feature is a tail. the tail of a green pikmin would help it fight, and would mean that it can hit twice as hard as normal. Also the green pikmin would be able to hide in grassy areas, like a camouflage pikmin.
Ghost pikmin: The unique feature is that they are transparent. these pikmin cannot fight or attack walls, but can control defeated enemies for a while. Ghost pikmin can only last a day, and also, a ghost pikmin cannot be killed unless the monster it controls is killed.
Wind pikmin: These pikmin are very fast and their unique feature is a mini tornado instead of a leaf, bud or flower. They are always very fast. These pikmin can also blow away monsters and make them dizzy. They can even blow wind turbines to open up new gates. They are wind resistant and are not blown away by puffy blowhogs or withery blowhogs.
Glow pikmin: These pikmin have a unique feature of a glowing object on their sprouts instead of a leaf, bud or flower. These pikmin would light up caves and possibly make olimar able to explore at night for a while. The disadvantage of night time exploration is that the onions have lifted off so you cant take out any more pikmin, and all of the monsters are awake and hungry.
Frost pikmin: These pikmin are extra cold. Their unique feature is a cold mist around them. They can attack monsters and while attacking they slow them down. When a frost pikmin is eaten the monster freezes for a while and this allows other pikmin to fight. Frozen monsters have better defense. These pikmin can also go into ice caves and cold areas.
Metallic pikmin: these pikmin are even slower than purple pikmin but are not stronger. they are heavy and are worth 20-50 pikmin when squashing paper bags. Otherwise these pikmin are almost useless. The only other thing they do is get attracted to magnets.

I bet they did explore the possibilities new Pikmin and a Pikmin 3. If they do make one it will HAVE to be on the Wii!

I had an Idea about an Assassin Pikmin (My Text from Wikia article):
It has a two ways to kill every enemy.
You throw it onto the enemy, and it uses a close range attack.
You throw it onto sniping post or a small cliff where the enemy can’t get to, and it uses a long ranged attack. The Pikmin has the shape of a purple pikmin, colored black, and has golden leaf/bud/flower. The Flower has a red center.
