Bejeweled 3, is the third installment of the popular game bejeweled franchise. Known for their extreme popularity and great game play, the bejeweled franchise finds the need to constantly provide gamers with great levels and modes. The basic concept of the game is retained from the original one. Players have a random number of jewels in a grid which they will have to make changes in. Changes can only be made to the place of a specific jewel in accordance with an adjacent one. They must align in a row, three identical jewels to eliminate them from the grid thereby allowing more jewels to fall in from above to fill in the gaps. Such an arrangement causes what is called as a chain reaction, where the randomly falling jewels may make further new sets thereby causing continuous chains. There are versions which are timed but the game also has the original untimed version. In the original version, players play to accrue points to get more bonus power-ups. These power-ups are highly beneficial in making huge changes to the grid on the whole. They help in creating a giant score which in turn helps get more power-ups.

As can be seen, this very basic and helpful gameplay makes it a genuine delight for people to play bejeweled 3 and more importantly, its ease of accessibility makes it hugely likeable by large parts of the market. ·         Hypercube: Formed basically by aligning 5 gems in a line, this gem eliminates every gem of the color with which it is being swapped.

·         Butterfly: Only applicable to the butterfly mode, this gem continually flies up one place every turn in order to change places with the gem placed in the higher position.

·         Bomb gem: The bomb gem basically indicates the number of turns or time left before it explodes thereby ending the game. It must be matched and eliminated before the time runs out.

·         Time Gem: These add 5-10 seconds to the game play

·         Supernova Gem

·         Flame Gem

·         Star gem
