The Ultimate Counter Strike 1.6 M4a1 Guide
Although the M4A1 is not as strong as the AK47, it is more accurate and allows the user to perform very controlled sprays during close combat situations, and still prove almost a well as an AK47 during long range firefights. With basic skills and a little practice you can be an M4A1 master. You will be able to land headshots consistently!
M4A1 – A Counter-terrorist based weapon

M4A1 (things you should know):
- The M4A1 is a very versatile weapon, it has a silencer attachment which can prove useful in many situations.
- Using the silencer reduces accuracy slightly compared to not using the silencer.
- Spraying (explained later on) is very easy and effective with this weapon compared to others.
M4A1(basics):
- With the M4A1 you should AIM for the HEAD, NO MATTER what other guides or someone say stick to aiming for the head.
- Most players prefer to use the silencer (i do), this supresses sound made by the M4A1, which in turn can lead to the enemy unable to identify your location using sound. The accuracy is reduced but not enough to give the user a disadvantage.
- To aim perfectly in the crosshair you must be standing still, this will make you a easy target.
- You have to include movement to not be a easy target, by strafing left and right. In that little pause when you switch direction you stand still this is when you want to shoot (this takes practice) your M4A1. This is called strafing and is used by many professional players.
M4A1:
- There are three ranges i use for every gun, they are close-range, medium range, and long range.
Close range:
In the picture above take the white circle as a opponent. This would be an example of a close range situation.
- In this situation i prefer to use a technique called spraying. Spraying is when you empty your clip aginast an opponent. Controlled spraying is when you keep shooting your clip until it runs out and directing the bullets using your mouse. This should only be used in close-quarters. You should aim for the chest when using this technique, and crouch. Crouching should only be performed when spraying at close quarters as it increases accuracy.

also it seems as if you don’t want others to see your hud. have you ever tried the “cl_drawhud 0″ command? just type that in the console and your hud will disappear. Type “cl_drawhud 1″ to have it appear again. Just a small tip to help you improve the quality of your future guides.
