Trade in Black Ops and Get Killzone Three Plus a Penny

Tired of playing Black Ops on PS3? How about trading it in at EBgames for Killzone 3! You also get a penny!

A RedFlagDeals member has posted a smart way to snag yourself a copy of Killzone 3 without dropping a dime. If you are one of the many PS3 owners fed up with your “inferior” version of Call of Duty: Black Ops, do yourself a favor and pick up KZ3 instead by trading in your copy of the game. All you have to do is go to your local EBGAMES or Gamestop as it’s now called. Black Ops currently has a $40 trade in, when you take into consideration their recent promotion which nets you an extra 50% towards the pre-purchase of select games including KZ3.

After doing the math 40×1.5=60 – retail price 59.99 = 1 penny left over)

Take your copy of the game and an extra penny! Many members have confirmed the deal works.

    There’s not tax on trade-ins because you already paid tax when you picked up the original game your trading in… Thanks Gamestop!

    This doesn\’t work because the EB games trade in is only toward the purchase of used games. Nice try though. GL finding Killzone 3 used.

    could you buy black ops used(50?) then trade it in for killzone?

    Holy hell, what a deal!? I’ve been playing the beta (with the Move, which is awesome BTW) and I know this is a day-one purchase for me. But if it could be a free pick up…? Done.

    Um, no Bob. That’s wrong. This deal works and GS credit can be used towards anything. In this case, the specific promo goes towards new pre-ordered copies of KZ3 (and within one week of release usually).

    You only get a 25% trade in bonus. Now if you are a power up rewards member, you’ll get a 10% bonus on top of that, but their are currently no offers currently running for a 50% trade in bonus for KillZone 3.

    Sorry, I stand corrected. In Canada GameStop is running the mentioned 50% bonus, but in the US they are only running a 25% bonus. That stinks!!!

    yeah and not only that but USA gamestops only value COD BO as 18$ in store credit. So… Even if it was 50% u would get a crappy deal. This really sucks i went to a gamestop and left with my cod in hand still.
