Why First Person Shooters are The Most Favorite Type of Games
What makes people so wild about getting the latest Halo or Call of Duty game?
First person shooter games are one of the best game genres in gaming systems. Halo and Call of Duty or two of the best types of first person shooters. But why? What makes Halo or CoD so thrilling to play? Answer from a witness player
I love to play Halo Combat Evolved and CoD MW2 because of the feeling of being a solider or an army man. I always liked to play stradegy games and this one is a great example. Finding your way around the enemy or killing a wave of terrorists when its 30:1 is a thrilling adrenaline. Halo, it has a multiplayer version of the game which is perfect. You get to play with other players in games like Capture the Flag, Slayer, King of the Mountain, etc. Whenever you play PvP like Halo, your up against the best rather than computers, and that makes it a great game. These types of first person games, in a way, completes the fantasy of actually being behind enemy lines and becoming a significant factor in a battle.
Halo Combat Evolved has one problem I’d like to mention, playing on a Mac is a disadvantage. When playing the game on a Mac, the map is a white box, therefore, you can’t see your allies or your enemies. Don’t get me wrong though, this does make the game a little more interesting. I mean, real people don’t have maps with red or blue dots on them, and when I don’t have them its like a more real life experience, until a sniper gets me from behind.
If anyone who reads this article is having thoughts about getting either Halo CE or CoD MW2, you gotta get them! The graphics on the Xbox 360 for MW2 is incredible, and the overall game is perfect. The story line fits in like a puzzle, the controls are amazing, and the game will blow your mind away.
