Nintendo Wii U Outsold Xbox One Last Week During The Holidays?

We know that the PS4 is the best selling console right now in the market but is the recently launched Xbox One selling as bad as the Wii U?
New figures coming from VGChartz show the Wii U selling 12K more units than the Xbox One for the holiday week, a figure that surprises many. If true this somehow proves that the launch of the PS4 and the Xbox One consoles somehow sparked the Wii U’s success.

Nintendo’s Wii U console has been selling REALLY bad to say the least just over 4 million consoles sold in one year, if this rumor is true it almost sold 10% of its lifetime sales over the last week! Not only would it have accomplished that, but to do it when Sony and Microsoft both released their new consoles- its an impressive feat. Many reports had come out stating that the launch of the PS4 and the Xbox One actually helped Nintendo get their console noticed by the public- and if this rumor is true it sure seems to prove that point.
We will have to wait and see for official numbers from Nintendo and Microsoft to know the truth, VGChartz can be accurate at times but it can also be WAY OFF in their estimates, its always a hit or miss with them. If this proves to be true it will be a huge demoralizing hit to the Xbox One camp considering how bad the Wii U has been selling since it launched. Another way to look at it is that the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One REALLY did help Nintendo with their Wii U console. We will see.
What are your thoughts on this, do you believe this spells doom for the Xbox One by being outsold by the Wii U? Or do you think this only natural to happened because consumers are now focusing more on the “next-gen” iterations of consoles? Please leave a comment below!
