First off, the item we’re discussing is the limpwurt root. The limpwurt root has a variety of uses, most of them unavailable to players who are not members. It is, however, a great source of money for free players. Just by making a few Grand Exchange transactions, which can be done while the player is completing other tasks, or even logged out. This takes a little bit of patience, but easily can yield 30-50 gp per limpwurt root. The method is simple, and applies to most all other items being bulk traded in the Grand Exchange.
The player simply selects to purchase one (1) limpwurt root from the Grand Exchange. Put your buy offer higher than the current market price, and attempt to “instant buy” a root. If you do not instantly buy a root with the offer you chose, raise your price. Don’t worry, you’ll make the money back. Once you have bought one root, record the price. For the purpose of this article, we will say you bought the root at 990 gp. Now, sell the root. Sell it at a lower price than the market value. You’re looking for an instant sell again here. Record this price. For the purpose of this article, the price that the root sold for was 940 gp. You now know the price range for the limpwurt root at this point in time.
